The Christmas season, celebrating the birth of Jesus and our salvation, is also the time we take our annual holiday break. This gives everyone a chance for some well-deserved rest, travel, family time, and service to others.
Whatever we do during this pause, our eyes are always fixed on Jesus Christ. This blog’s existence over the years is purely a testament to His grace and mercy. We give Him all the praise and glory, taking no credit for the work we love to do in His name.
Celebrating the Hope of Christ's Arrival
The Christmas story is the narrative of God's profound love for humanity, a divine intervention that fulfilled prophecy in the humble setting of Bethlehem. The birth of Jesus signifies that God is accessible to everyone, providing guidance and a path to unity.
Bible Verses on the Birth of Jesus
- Luke 2:10-11 - The announcement made by the angel to the shepherds perfectly encapsulates this message.
- John 1:14 - The central doctrine of Christianity is the "Incarnation": the belief that God became human in the person of Jesus Christ, a message often referred to as the "gospel" or good news. This pivotal event is where the divine took on human form to live among people.
- Isaiah 9:6 - The prophet Isaiah predicted the arrival of this extraordinary child long before the event, providing descriptive names that clarify his nature and purpose.
- Luke 2:14 - The birth of Jesus marks the beginning of peace on Earth and a time of goodwill toward all people. The message was joyfully proclaimed by the heavenly host praising God.
